ARCHITECTS OF OUR TIME

The theme proposed by the Biennale “Strangers everywhere” is revealed through the symbolism of the canvases, which capture the complexity of our connection with destiny and the inner “Daimon” (The Daimon, represents a sort of inner guide, according to Jung can be considered as a sort of deep consciousness that pushes us towards the realization of our true potential, as a fundamental point for self-realization)

Each brushstroke runs through a story of challenges and discoveries, an invitation to explore the depths of our identity in a context that, in many ways, considers us “foreigners”.

The tension between the apparent perfection present in the canvases and the imperfections revealed by close observation becomes a reflection of our human experience. The works convey the bold message that true beauty lies in accepting and embracing every aspect of ourselves, even those that might be considered “foreign” or non-conforming to external standards.

Through this visual reflection, the canvas becomes a testament to the courage to embrace our “imperfection” as an intrinsic part of our uniqueness. In the society that often pushes us to conform, the works stand as an invitation to celebrate the beauty of diversity, to see in every shade of “imperfection” an added value.

The geometric abstraction in my works adds an extra layer of meaning to the theme “Strangers everywhere”. In the artistic field, it can often be considered “foreign” compared to more conventional depictions. This aspect reflects the complexity of the human being, in which our authenticity can sometimes seem extraneous to predefined standards.

Project created as a finalist for the painting section, of the Call “Creators of our time” announced by the municipality of Venice in collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, Fondazione Forte Marghera, Vela Spa and Venis Spa
